We believe we are one with nature and that we are all connected and the connection starts with the seed. The seeds of life. A seed is a miracle, these seemingly dormant embryos hold the essence of life, as we know it. They are pure energy. Under the right circumstances, they erupt out of their dormancy and push their way out from underground and surprise us.
Some seeds need to be soaked in water before planting, some seeds need to be planted fresh from the fruit, some seeds need to be dried before they are planted. Some seeds sprout in a day, some sprout in a week and some sprout after a month. Every seed is different. And they can grow only with just the right care. The crux is too much care or too little care.
The Art Farm offers the opportunity to not just come into nature and to be one with nature but to strengthen yourselves through transdisciplinary art and community development practices. We are happy to welcome established / amateur / future artists as well as any other visitor willing to collaborate, co-create and support.
The Art Farm has been a place for “Experiential learning" project for the last few years. Children and their parents from The Learning Center based in Goa come together to transplant rice saplings every year. When children learn to grow their own food, they develop “food empathy”, a deeper connection with the food which is proven to lead to a healthier life. And doing this all together plays a big role in learning to work and create side by side with others and helps to develop community-oriented minds. Submit your application if you'd like to join.
Throughout Art Camp'22 organized in collaboration with 'School of Disobedience' (France/Hungary) the female body is addressed and interpreted through the lens of history, sociology, local myths and culture. Through discussions initiated by the main collaborators, creations in different art mediums and final presentations of their performances, participating women will be using reflections of their own embodied experiences. 20 India based participants are invited through open calls. Submit your application if you'd like to join.
